FaithTechAfrica

Who We Are

A tech community for Christ, rooted in Africa and part of the global FaithTech family.

Our mission

FaithTech exists to see a Jesus revival awakened in and through tech by practising redemptive technology design.

It all started in 2016 with 35 people in a coffee shop asking: is there anyone else like me out there, a Christ-follower working in tech? Is there a way to use my skills that also aligns with my faith?

Since that first meetup, people have been finding each other all over the world, in FaithTech cities and beyond, in person and online. We wrestle with important questions and build important tools, in relationship with each other and in Christ.

Put simply, we are a global tech community for Christ. FaithTech Africa carries that same calling into the cities of this continent.

A different way
01

A redemptive way

A different way of building technology.

02

A sacrificial way

A different way of being people engaged in technology in this digital age.

03

A Jesus way

A different way of believing in a world powered by technology.

In Africa

What we value on the continent

We share the practices of the global community, shaped around African cultures, languages and needs.

01

Rooted in Christ

We start with Jesus. Our work flows from worship, prayer and Scripture, not the other way round.

02

Built for neighbours

We build technology that serves the communities around us: the trader, the farmer, the student, the city.

03

Made together

Engineers, designers, founders, pastors and students side by side. Nobody builds alone.

04

Continental, local

One movement across many cities, each shaped by its own languages, cultures and needs.
